Music at Northlea United

If you like to sing, there’s a place waiting for you to do it. Northlea United has an enthusiastic and energetic music program.

Adult Choir

The choir is a group of music- and fun-loving people who sing at Sunday services and other events throughout the year. Under the leadership of the Marc, the Music Director, each Sunday they lead the congregation in hymns and responses, and sing an inspiring and uplifting anthem. Special music is prepared for services at Christmas and Easter. The annual Candlelight Service is a highlight of the Christmas season, and “Show Time” in the spring features solos, duets and groups in an evening of music from Broadway and the movies. The choir practices each Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. All enthusiastic voices are welcome; you don’t need to be able to read music.

Cool Church Players

An energetic and talented group of youth from the community and church (4-11 years of age) who meet every Thursday after school for snack and singing fun from 4 to 4:30. They prepare the Christmas Pageant in the fall and then a musical presented in the spring. This year the Musical "The Two by Two Zoo Cruise" by Michael and Jill Gallina...a musical about Noah and the Ark will be performed on Sunday, May 29, 2011. They sing from time to time in the weekly church service and also participate in the Broadway Show (May 14th, 2011). For more info or to join contact Marc at 416-425-5252 ext 4.

Do you have other musical talents to share?

The Music Director is always looking for people with musical talents to share with the congregation. If you play an instrument or sing, or are part of a musical group, contact the office or the Music Director.
